Homemade Notella!



Decadent & delicious! Here at The Farm Wholefoods we absolutely love all things chocolate. But we also love the kind of chocolate that good for us rather than one laden with refined sugars, preservatives and lots of dairy.


We have been busy experimenting in the Farm Wholefoods kitchen and have created a healthy, creamy chocolate and hazelnut spread or ‘Notella” that is perfect for spreading on your morning toast topped with strawberries or eat it right off the spoon for a little snack.

Our Notella is gluten free, refined sugar free and dairy free too! The ultimate healthy indulgence..

Notella Recipe

Ingredients – 

  • You can pick these up from our bulk pantry at The Farm!

1 Tablespoon of Cacao Power  – 

2 Tablespoons of Organic Coconut oil –  

1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla essence or Powder

1/4 Cup of Raw hazelnuts

1 Teaspoon of Maple Syrup

Method –

In a food processor – Medium size ( a vita mix or nutri bullet will work well aslo) Add your hazelnuts and cacao powder then blitz until the hazelnuts have turned into crumbs

Add your maple syrup, vanilla essence and coconut oil until all combined.

Keep blitzing away until smooth and creamy.( If you would like it crunchy, add a few crushed hazelnuts to the mixture at the end to add some texture)

Scoop out your creamy chocolate spread and place into a glass jar and store in a cool dry place

*Note – Coconut turns into a solid when refrigerated so it’s best to leave your spread at room temperature to maintain it’s consistency.
