I find Christmas one of those times of year where everything turns from busy to manic. For us, this year was no different, in fact it was probably worse. We have been juggling running the business over our first Christmas, we moved house and have our 18-month-old finding delight in unpacking everything Mummy has just put neatly away in drawers.
However despite the chaos and navigating shopping centre car parks there is something just a little bit magical about Christmas.
Despite boxes still unpacked at home we managed to find time to put up our Christmas tree. This year Indi was old enough to be properly involved as she aptly nominated herself as chief decorator. Sometimes in this busy world we forget to stop and enjoy the moment we are in but watching Indiana marvel at the colours, shapes and sparkles on each decoration was definitely a moment to be cherished.
Christmas Day for our little farm family will be spent doing the things we love to do. Josh will be up catching the first waves of the day; I will be meeting friends for our annual Christmas run and Indiana will be hurtling herself up and down the hallway of the house chasing Zali.
Lunchtime will be spent in the backyard, enjoying a causal lunch with both friends and family, eating great food, drinks and laughter.
Despite our good fortune with health and a loving family some people are not as fortunate as us at Christmas and from everyone at The Farm Wholefoods we continue to support the Wayside Chapels ‘Donate a Plate’ appeal. I am very humbled by all the support our customers and staff gave to this charity and through this generosity we have been able to help 30 people celebrate this Christmas with a beautiful meal, surrounded by warm and generous people.
However you spend this festive season we wish you a safe and healthy time and want to thank everyone for their amazing support in 2015. We still pinch ourselves daily that this dream has turned into a reality.
Have a Merry Christmas.
Lots of Love, The Farm Family.
